Edenian - Black Moon

From Ukraine, with ten years of dark waiting behind them. EDENIAN were formed in Kharkiv in 2010, debuted in 2012 with Winter Shades and followed up with Rise of the Nephilim (2013) and the EP Forgotten Once... (2014). Then silence. A decade of rethinking, rewriting, rebuilding — until now.

Black Moon is their third album and their debut on Elevate Records: 10 tracks of gothic and doom metal built around the haunting beauty & the beast vocal interplay of Max Molodtsov and Valerie Chudentsova — both also known as members of Mistyfica (ER26062). Lyrically, the album draws on adaptations from poetry by Baudelaire, Hardy, Rossetti and others, giving the record a literary depth that sets it apart in the genre. Produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by Max Molodtsov at Eternal Studio. Artwork by Irene Domingues Marques (aka Namtaru).

A record that does not apologise for its darkness — and doesn't need to.
